    Critiques:

    Critique 1

    0:07:30 – Critique number 1 is for Cecily Henderson & Katherine, http://www.shoppompom.com/

Homepage: Tanner mentions that you could reduce the size of the banner on desktop to bring other important elements further above the fold. Change the color of the price to a darker color for better readability. Consider rearranging the position of the collections and the best sellers. Make the testimonial stand out more with some design elements. Add some story behind the brand to the homepage to create trust.

Collection Page: Tanner recommends the Product Filter & Search app to include relevant filters. Keep your product images congruent and automatically sort your products by best selling. Include a secondary hover image of a lifestyle image.

Product Page: Add “adjustable” within the product title as this is what makes your product unique. Add some images or videos to break up walls of text, ensure you are tracking the video to analyze its impact. Consider vertical tabs over horizontal tabs. Fix up any inconsistency of image sizes. Remove the scarcity tactic of only 2 units remaining.

Cart Page: Remove special instructions from the cart page. Consider removing the top proceed to checkout button.

Checkout: Test suppressing express payment options until the payment page.

    Critique 2

0:41:45 – Critique number 2 is for Kenny Azama, http://thewanderclub.co/

Homepage: Tanner mentions to call out how big the discount users are receiving when they enter their mobile number. The team suggest adding some sort of background behind the product itself as it looks a little bland.

Product Page: Tanner recommends including some images of the product in scale earlier on. This can cause friction when customers are unaware of how big a product is, especially something that is worn. The team uncover a bug where the product description isn’t showing. Tanner recommends making the charity information more prominent. This should have its own visual piece. Tanner and the team talk about how to make the date upsell on the product page a little more prominent as it was missed on first glance.

Cart Page: Tanner recommends potentially adding an upsell to assemble the products for the customer. Consider including some unique value proposition icons to encourage customers to take the next step.

Checkout: Kenny and Tanner discuss testing the removal of the express payment option on the information page.

    Critique 3

1:29:20 – Critique number 3 is for Garrett Hilt, http://gencrafts.com/

Homepage: Tanner mentions to fix the search call to action button color, right now it appears broken. Marianna recommends reordering the main navigation based on best sellers and what gets the most clicks.

Collection Page: The filters need to be reworked, check out Product Filter & Search for some awesome category filter capabilities.

Product Page: Remove the ghost button on the product pages, the button color should be a prominent color that stands out. Remove social sharing icons, not only is this rarely used but you do not want to encourage users to leave your site to another social website. Add the original price to the checkbox upsell. Tanner mentions to be a little more descriptive in the product description and call out any more features. Use a minimum font size of 16px.

Cart Page: Quantity option breaks the cart.

Checkout: Increase the width of the checkout logo.

    Critique 3

1:57:55 – Critique number 4 is for Emily Zeiger, http://shopstudiostyle.com/

Homepage: Tanner discusses the timing to your email capture. Change the call to action on the email capture to “GET 10% NOW”. Swap the positioning of the logo and the search bar. Tanner recommends testing free shipping thresholds to boost your AOV. Tanner breaks down Emily’s unique value propositions, what ones to keep and what ones to change. Mariana mentions that Emily should consider including imagery of leggins within the main banner as this is the flagship product! If you are going to have instagram on your website, you must use a shoppable instagram such as foursixty app or stamped.io. The homepage is missing collections, your main navigation collections should be clearly displayed on the homepage.

Collection Page: Fix up the Sort By functionality. It should say “Sort By” then have a dropdown. Try to make your product images the same size for congruency. Add secondary hover images. Increase the size of the sales badge.

Product Page: Add a size guide link under the size variants. Your product description should not have a horizontal scroll. Tanner mentions adding a little more product specific stories to each product if possible. Hide the reviews widget at the bottom of the page if you do not have reviews.

Cart Page: Call to action buttons should all be the same color and it should be a prominent color that stands out on the page. Carts should automatically update.

Checkout: Increase the size of your checkout logo. Consider removing third party payment options that are not being used, such as shop pay or google pay.
