    Critiques:

    Critique 1

0:05:20 – Critique number 1 is for Brandon – [email protected].

Homepage: Use time delay popup on mobile as exit intent is a bit buggy. Arrange your main navigation links in order of most clicked. Consider removing navigation links that aren’t being clicked often or not having an impact on conversions. The team discusses the headline for the homepage banner as well as the mobile presentation. Jeremy suggests incorporating shoppable instagram. Jacob suggests utilizing influencer marketing. Mark mentions a great app that pulls social media followings of your customers so you can use that information.

Collection Page: Mark notices every product is on sale, this can sometimes create a negative connotation towards your products. Change the color of the sales badge so it doesn’t clash with the call to action button.

Product Page: Jacob recommends swatches as dropdowns have a poor usability on mobile. Move the sezzle widget to be positioned below the price. Make sure each section has a clear headline. The team breakdown why scroll depth is important and how you can identify what is the biggest reason as to why a customer purchased, then position that information as close to the top of the page as possible.

    Critique 2

    1:08:00 – Critique number 2 is for Mark Givert – http://www.get-fitt.com/.

Homepage: Jacob recommends using Attentive or Wheelio to capture an email opposed to messenger capture. Active tab color has poor contrast against the blue background. Jeremy talks about incorporating shipping costs into the product price to offer free shipping. Add some placeholder text within the search bar. The team discusses what Mark can do to improve his homepage banner. Jacob mentions that Mark needed to simplify some of the descriptions and to make it Homer Simpson simple. Add logo to the footer and incentivize the email signup. The team covers Footer best practices.

Collection Page: Product images and product titles are being cut off. Hide review widget from products that have zero reviews. Add relevant filters. Sort by best selling. Remove the Add to Cart button from below the product.

Product Page: The team recommends what product images to include and which ones to remove. Remove social media sharing icons. Consider including progressive disclosure in the form of accordion tabs to give the user the ability to read what they are most interested in reading. Remove any links that take the user away from the product page. Hide reviews widget until you have a few reviews to publish. Make sure that no other elements are sharing the same color as the call to action button.

Cart Page: Remove order notes unless this is commonly used. Change the Continue Shopping button to a link that is positioned underneath the proceed to checkout button.
