    Critique 1

0:03:15 – Critique number 1 is for Mark Givert https://lr0922jbetfmae9z-26667122741.shopifypreview.com/.

Homepage: Mark S. discusses how to layout navigation based on the customer’s journey. The team talks about how Mark G. can reiterate the homepage banner to best explain the flagship product. Mark S. also mentions updating Main Navigation Items/Headings (e.g. Home Use, Clinical use and Accessories) to have better guidance for the customers. Our team recommends changing some of the banner images which will help entice customers with the product. There is a lot of dead space within the content pieces, our team advises Mark G. on how he can reduce the amount of wasted space and better layout.

Collection Page: Add relevant filters on the collection page. Customers need to be able to narrow down their product choices. You can also use applications as a way to filter products.

Product Page: When there are no reviews, you do not want to show the review stars. Remove the background of the product image arrows. For the hierarchy of focus, consider changing the search button color to not match the main CTA button. Remove the image at the start of the description. Add icons or relevant images to break up the wall of text. Suggested also to add progressive disclosure for long product descriptions. Add a video to cater for customers who don’t enjoy reading. For blank space highlighted by Mark S., consider adding testimonial 5 star reviews.

Cart Page: Proceed to checkout button should be centered, not left-aligned. Consider adding unique value proposition icons on the ajax cart.

    Critique 2

    0:35:00 – Critique number 2 is for Kevin Gordon – http://lavishgents.com/

Homepage: Team shares the logo is small and recommends increasing the font size to improve readability. Add features of the product for customers to motivate purchasing it. Also, updating the image banner and its height to have a better display of the product. Mark advice to minimize the blank space. Recommends to check how many customers are watching the video and also sales conversion. For the Facebook reviews displayed as image, suggested to have it more reactive and responsive with the customer. To add, it is also ineligible for mobile view.

Collection Page: Team recommends avoiding gray texts in white background as it minimizes readability.

Product Page: For Mobile view, add arrows for the product images to help better navigation. Minimize blank spaces to prioritize add to cart button. Also, to improve the image of UVP icons for better readability. Suggests to remove flashing display for Add to Cart button as it impacts usability.

Cart Page: Add “Continue Shopping” link as an option for customers that will not yet proceed to the Checkout page. Suggests to remove “Add Order Note” to lessen distraction in proceeding to Checkout. It may be added to the Checkout page. Mark shars the “Vitals” app that will help improve display/description of the discounts (includes progressive discounts). Recommends to move the discount information above the product description to have better impact to the customers.

Checkout: The team recommends utilizing a better logo that is more readable than what was in Homepage. Due to no customer usage for Gpay and Shoppay, the team recommends removing it. Also, suggests updating the Checkout page to hide Express pay and display it in the Payment page.

    Critique 3

    1:00:20 – Critique number 3 is for Nick Mercurio – https://skynetcamera.com/

Homepage: Remove “Home” button to avoid confusion for “Home cameras”. For the House image, remove the text within it for better readability. Mariana recommends including discount information in the Subscription section.

Product Page: Image of a person holding the golf ball and camera may cause confusion for the actual size of the camera. Better image comparison at the bottom part should be utilized instead. For mobile view, the product comparison table/chart is showing high in height that as you scroll down, the column description on the top is not anymore visible. Mark recommends checking the scroll depth to understand better the customer behavior when buying the product. Adding “Back to top” button may help for long Product page. Recommends to add an image of recording details (e.g. duration) in the product dropdown.

    Critique 4

    1:17:40 – Critique number 4 is for Sarah Vilenskiy – https://tryblossom.com/

Homepage: The team recommends adding “Reviews”. Also, shares to indicate title for the selection (e.g. best-selling products and new products). For Mobile view, recommends updating the border for “type your email here” to help customers where to type their email address. Also for the “Back to Top” button, the team suggests a better contrast to blend in the Homepage. For the Main Navigation Headings “Body”, Mark suggests to reach-out to Igor in updating the pixel width to accommodate longer texts.

Collection Page: For mobile view, the team suggests having 2 images in a row for better display of products. Reviews are currently not clickable and may need to proceed to the Product page to view it. Also if there are additional new products, they may consider adding filters/sort options for customers’ better navigation.

Product Page: Mark recommends to improve the image of the product (Supplement Facts image) for better readability. Notice the “Review” is on the top of the Product page. The team suggests moving it down to give more priority/focus on the product and its details.  For clarity, adding “star icon” below reviews. Also, suggests updating the color of the text within the images as some blends with the background/image color. To improve relevance, add discount details in bottle quantity selection. Currently, conflicting details for Free shipping details (Free US Economy shipping vs. Free 2 day shipping on orders over $125+). Marco adds to minimize blank/white spaces above and below the images. Add to cart button includes quantity of “Items”. When “3 bottles” is selected, the quantity of “Items” is showing 1 only. This might result to customer’s confusion on the product quantity that they are buying.  Also, another “Add to Cart” button is available in the bottom part of the page. Recommends to remove and retain the one near the product image.

Cart Page: Team suggests to have consistency on the color of Add to cart button (Product and Cart pages). Shares to remove the 2nd “Add to cart” button. Conflicting Free Shipping information as it also shows “Alaska and Hawaii excluded from Free shipping”. Mark suggests to check with Igor for “Alaska and Hawaii excluded from Free shipping” as it can be customized to show only for customers located in Alaska and Hawaii. Also, recommends adding UVP icons/Trust badges below the “Continue Shopping” link.

Checkout:  Suggests script in updating the Checkout page to hide Express checkout and display it in the Payment page. Mark will be sharing the details. For Mobile, enter Discount code is available. Mark shares on how to fix it by changing the micro text. Also to improve clarity, Marko suggests updating email fields and indicating the reasons why it is required. Adding an asterisk image to identify required fields.

    Critique 5

    2:06:06 – Critique number 5 is for Christy Winfrey – https://olivebranchfarmhouse.com/

Homepage: Mark suggests conducting a survey for the customers how they feel about particular new products. For better readability, the team suggests adjusting timing/duration for the flashing information on the top of the Home page. There is an icon that is near the logo. This interferes with the visibility of the logo. Marko shares to add “Cart” in cart icon. Good information/description of the store. For the “Chat with us” icon to code it so that it will automatically direct to the chat window. Also, recommends adding the timezone for the availability of Chat service. Suggests better arrangement of the “Shop by Departments” category. Also recommends adding an additional category which is “Shop by Interests”. For the “As seen In”, Mark suggests retaining the original color of “Today” logo for better description. Marko recommends checking traffic to identify if it will be better to move “Best Sellers” above/middle of the page. Also, there are some products categorized as “Best Sellers” however it has only 2 reviews listed. To avoid disconnects, recommends changing “Best Sellers” to “Hottest items/Staff Picks”. For the images, Mark shares there is Shoppable Instagram Feed app that she may use to better manage the images.

Collection Page: The team suggests moving the filter icon to the left and sorting icons to the right. Add additional filters such as “By style” and “By interest” for broad collection pages.  Recommends to include “Review stars” which may help customers identify products with good reviews. Also to help customers identify new products, Marko recommends adding text/badges.

Product Page: The team suggests adding additional information to better  identify products that can be customized. In error for “add to cart”, indicate an error message to better guide the customer. To add additional information to identify what part of the product is customizable. Recommends adding an arrow to scroll the images. Good job in using UVP icons that compliments the theme of the store. Suggests to reduce blank/white spaces on the left side of the page. Also, recommends adding a size guide for customers to have a better idea of the product.

Cart Page: For better description, move “Subtotal” close to the total actual amount.  To help stand-out, move “Shipping is Free” to the right side near to the total actual amount.

“Continue Shopping” arrow should be updated pointing to the left. “Checkout” recommends to be updated to “Proceed to Checkout”.

Checkout:  Mark recommends increasing the size of the logo to minimize blank/white spaces.
