It’s been proven time and time again that people will buy more than one of the same thing (physical product) if they see and believe that they are going to receive a higher than normal perceived value!
I tested this through the kazoo last year, when I launched a CF funnel selling socks with a free + shipping offer…this was a ‘pre-order-checkout-bump’.
My offer: Free socks, just pay $4.95 shipping…The first offer option was the quantity selection…making the best offer highlighted with the highest value incentive, which was 7 pairs for the cheapest per pair price…next was the bump offer checkbox, offering 3 additional pairs (this converted at 31%)…..
I was happy…but testing continued…the first OTO, another 10 pairs, and then another OTO, 20 pairs! With the OTO’s I gave them 3 pairs free too

Did it work…hell yeah! People buy based on emotion…these people couldn’t resist such an amazing price!
Is there a secret to this? Here’s the secret… create offers with a high perceived value in the eyes of the customer!!
Test different offers…one of the best offer is selling ‘fresh-air’….What’s that? Some examples:
– Parcel insurance and extended warranties
– Express delivery or faster shipping
– Offer an upgrade for a license or contract
– Monthly club subscriptions, maintenance or renewals
…and don’t forget the ‘old favourites’ like:
– More of the same product, and higher quantities
– A better or more advanced version of the main product, stronger formula, bigger size tub/bottle (20% extra)
– BOGO (buy one get one free)
– BOG(%/$)OFF (buy one get % or $ off additional products)
– BTGETXFREE (buy two get a free gift)
…and the screenshots…my stats since using the Rev Bump app and the strategy (read on) the last 30 days!
Simply offering more of the same product in quantities of 2, 3 and 6 bottles…
Which quantity is being selected the most?
It’s the 2 bottle option…then the 1, then the 3 just slightly behind…
So what would you do from here?
For me I should test the following:
Sending traffic to a page that doesn’t have a one bottle option, and
and removing options for 1 and 2 bottle quantities, and offer 3, 6, and 10
That reminds me of a test I did with the sock funnel…
I decided to test and idea I had of a Free + Free Shipping Offer…WTF is that?
Free Product + Free Shipping…
Did it work?
Just a little…it moved AOV from $15 in the store…to $85 in a funnel…Exact same product, same OTO’s, more of the same….
Stop over thinking this…more of the same works!!
So why/how did this F+FS offer work?
How can you give away a free product and free shipping and make money!
My fb ad, as you can imagine got a boat load of engagement..who doesn’t want free product and free shipping?
Getting very high engagement on an ad = cheap traffic, and great organic reach!!
My product selections were:

Buy 10 Get 10 Free
Free Shipping.
and
Buy 7 Get 3 Free
$4.95 Shipping.
No option to buy 1 or 2, or get free shipping unless you go for the Free + Free Shipping Option
