Using UTM codes to track from Ad to Sale.

UTM codes help you track all the way through from ad to sale. UTM is an internet-standard tracking taxonomy, so most third party systems can receive and store the data you pass using them, allowing you to create some cool reports. You should be using them with every ad. There is a single copy/paste script that I show in the attached TXT file that makes it really easy to add your tracking.

Not sure where the “official” FB link went for this, but this guy copied everything.

Facebook recently updated Facebook Ads Manager with “URL Dynamic Parameters”, a function that dynamically adds campaign information to destination URLs and greatly simplifies the process of tagging Facebook Ads for Google Analytics. This post describes the new process of creating an ad in Facebook that is tagged for Google Analytics.

Also if the { } braces doesn’t work, try [ ] brackets instead in your UTM parameters.
