    Critiques:

    Critique 1

    0:00:38 – Critique number 1 is for Adam Ben-Kiki, https://youluckykid.com/.

Homepage: The white text on the email capture is hard to read due to the background color being too similar to the text. Increase the font size to a minimum of 16px. Make the email and phone number clickable in the header. Mariana mentions placing a best seller within the banner image to make it obvious as to what the store sells. Jacob warns about creating terminology and inventing certain trends such as using hashtags instead of bullet-points, as this may not translate well with your users. Jacob suggests making it very easy for users to separate products depending on gender. Run user tests to see why people are shopping with you. Change the UVP paragraphs to icons with punchy headlines that explain each icon. The collection images are very busy with emoji’s, this can potentially distract the users from what they are meant to be looking at. The font is too hard to read. The free tracked shipping image is taking up too much space, it has already been mentioned 3 times. Use a review widget on the homepage for a better looking and functioning feature. The font size in the footer needs to be bumped up and any light colors need to be darkened to bring out the text on the background.

Collection Page: Make your secondary hover images congruent. Add relevant filters, we advise using the Product Filter & Search app.

Product Page: For 5 or fewer variants, test using swatches instead of dropdowns. They make for a better user experience on mobile devices. Add a size chart link under your dropdown. Create a size chart tab, it is smart to have crucial information in more than one place making it easy for users to find. Mariana mentions that the Influencer-approved UVP may be a little difficult for users to understand as you will need to back up any claims you make otherwise they hold little weight. Set up your GA so you can track elements on your site and know the impact of certain features. Fix up spacing issues below the second ATC button. The sticky ATC button needs to be optimized as some of the prices are cut off and it is very slim on desktop. Remove payment methods from the product page. Be careful using apps that include multiple apps within the one app, this could be detrimental to site speed.

Cart Page: Use different UVP icons on the ajax cart. Sticky ATC should not appear when the ajax cart is expanded. Test a cleaner/simpler cart vs a busy cart with reviews.

Checkout: Fix spelling mistake within the email address on Checkout. Make sure the Checkout logo is not clickable.

    Critique 2

0:52:05 – Critique number 2 is for Maria LeCuyer, http://thenikstore.com/.

Homepage: We typically advise not to use any more than 1 capture popup, as this can cause friction with your users. Remove the hover color on the Wheelio app. Make the email address and phone number clickable within the header. The hover color on the menu items makes it very difficult to read, there are also too many colors being used in the navigation. Keep your colors consistent throughout the site. Reorder the navigation links so your moneymaking links are at the front and your story links at the end. Add some icons above the UVP text to make them stand out a little more. Add titles above the collections and products to inform the user why you are showing them. For example, Featured Collections & Best Sellers. Add review stars underneath the product title and price. Add some spacing between the bullet lists to break them up and increase readability. Remove auto scroll from the reviews. Make the background of your footer logo transparent so it does not show the white box behind it.

Collection Page: Add filters that users will need to sort through your products. We recommend the Product Filter & Search app. The product titles are too lengthy and remind the team of Aliexpress titles.

Product Page: Increase the font size to a minimum of 16px. Do not call out US stock on some products, this is telling your customer that the other products are from China for example. Add a Shipping & Returns tab to give users the right information at the right time. Make the product description full width on desktop so you do not have a bunch of white space. It will be very hard to cross-sell other products if the customer has to go and learn more about the other product, the easiest cross-sell is to sell more of the same product or a product that compliments the original product and doesn’t take much education before buying.

Cart Page: Fix cross-sell in the cart. Remove the top Proceed to Checkout button and leave the bottom one. Change “Total” to “Subtotal”

Checkout: Include support details in the logo. Change micro text for the email and mobile field. Make sure the color of your CTA buttons is congruent across your whole site.

    Critique 3

1:26:45 – Critique number 3 is for Dianne Duke, http://www.gracealley.com/.

Homepage: The logo is very difficult to read because the font size within the logo is tiny. Add a punchy title on the banner. Make sure the text under your UVP’s is inline. Optimize the search function, you can use the product filter & search app. Change the search CTA color as gray appear inactive or broken.

Product Page: The team recommends adding size variants on the single product page to have it all central. The lifestyle image of each product should be unique, if you are sharing the same lifestyle image across different sizes, the customer will not be able to distinguish between the sizes. The review app is very limited as the team cannot sort by certain star reviews. Add an unboxing video that makes it very clear to customers how they can set up their flag pole. Add an instructions tab and also use it in follow up emails. Removing the scroll within the product description.

Cart Page: Add the PayPal logo instead of just text. Remove the top Proceed to Checkout button to ensure there is no confusion with the older demographic.

Checkout: The text within the logo is almost impossible to read. Change the micro text within the mobile field to (For Shipping Notifications). Remove the company field. Make sure the CTA button color is congruent the whole way through your site.
