00:00:08 Yeah, hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. I wanted to obviously start off and see if there’s anything anyone needed any immediate help with or anything that anyone wanted to look at. I think Mike, I think I know you might have submitted a question last week about getting access to your Facebook page. Were we ever able to sort that out? I know it was a no.
00:00:39 Okay. Did you want to see if we can, we can work through it and see if we can figure out a way to a way to make it happen? Cause we talked about it a little bit on the last call, but, but I just needed a little bit more information into it so we can figure it out. So I’m going to do is we’re going to want,
00:00:58 promote you to be on the call so that you can jump on and maybe we can sort through it. Cool. We go, Okay. Hey, my is going good. So tell me a little bit about what what’s what’s happened. Cause I, I read the, I read everything you sent in, but just might need to be, have a little bit clear picture about it,
00:01:40 but yeah, let me know what’s going on. Yeah. I, I’m not able to, I am the, the owner of, of my, of my page, but it says that I don’t have access to it. So Okay. Every time I left the, I gave a email, a letter to their support to, to ask for, for help,
00:02:12 but I never get any response. Okay. No worries. Let’s let’s see if we can sort through it. So if you want to share your screen and maybe bring up maybe the face of business major as best place to start, we can kind of start just working through it. We can see if we can sort through it and figure it out and yeah,
00:02:27 she’ll be able to do it. Okay. Let me Should be in the like bottom row of zoom, there’s like a share screen green kinda button. And you can just say click that and then just pick whichever window you bring up your business manager and we should be able to check it out. Cool. So I go to Facebook marketing first, first off,
00:03:16 you know, set up incomplete. I can’t do any of these things. Set up Facebook marketing. If I go here, this is my personal page and I have all the, you know, my, my, my, my e-commerce stores connected to this. So I hit connect, says this ad account needs to be added. So I try to add,
00:03:47 I go, I do that. There was a problem creating this ad and it’s talks about a pixel. Oh yeah. Okay. So have you created a Facebook business manager before? I have one, I believe. Okay. So go to, if you could open up a new tab and just go to business.facebook.com, we should be able to sort this out and we just need to go through a couple of steps.
00:04:18 Cool. What I always like to do is if you X out of this screen, you can say, not now I’m in that bottom left where it says give feedback. And there’s like a down arrow at the very, very bottom. Yeah. I like to switch to business manager. You can X out of that. There’s a, if you go back to that a window,
00:04:35 I’ll say switch to business manager and click that one. Yeah. And then switch. Then you just say, cancel, you don’t need to give any feedback or anything. They shoots with you over here, which now gives us the view where we can actually see. So we have your business manager here. So if we click that where it says, go to business settings at the top there,
00:04:56 whereas it kind of has like the red or red flag. Yeah. We can go into where it’s go to business settings seems like we, you do have a business major. We just might not finish setting it up. But when we get this set up and we are able to, I think the first thing we have to do is verify the email address.
00:05:13 So if we scroll down a little bit, maybe in the center screen, there’s like a separate drop down. Yeah. And if we hit edit there, the very, very bottom there’s going to be edit and you can add your email. And then we’ll go on to do is if we can verify your email, there’ll be same thing. Like they’ll send you a verification link type thing,
00:05:37 w a great place to start, and we can get this business manager set up and get everything connected the page. And then when we go into Shopify, at that point, we should be able to select this business manager, which is going to have everything set up. So you were kind of trying to set up things in Shopify when we really have to set everything up in here first.
00:05:59 And then when we go to Shopify and connect it, it’ll be able to import everything over. So if we go to the next one, I want to look at is if we go to users on the, on all the way on the left there, there’s like a dropdown arrow next to users, users at the top. Yep. Cool. And let’s go to people.
00:06:19 Cool. And so we got you and we got the page there and let’s go to pages on the, on the left all the way on the left there, it says under our accounts, it says pages, Th this max muscle ATA at T L this, this is my YouTube, my Instagram. Okay. Yeah, no worries. Let’s go to pages then.
00:06:44 Yeah. Let’s go to this page and we can click add, and we can add the, the page that you want to add. So at the top, there’s that blue button kind of in the middle of the screen at the top. Yep. And you can say, just add a page and right there is where you can type, start typing in the page name.
00:07:00 Or if you know the page URL, you can type it in and it should pop up and like, kind of like a dropdown. So would it be my Facebook, my Facebook page that I want? Yep. The Facebook page. You want to run ads from? Yep. Okay. Hold on for a second. I’m going to And grab that.
00:07:18 Yep. And then we’ll go back to the business manager and paste that in and yeah. Click there. So that, it’s the makes you select the right one yet. Was that the one, if you click it in there again, did it come up with like a dropdown? Try pasting it in again. So this is what happens. Boom. So now Sometimes you have to like actually click the actual page.
00:07:53 So when it shows the dropdown, I’m not, So it hit paste. And then when it pops up, like click the actual, the page right there. So right there. Yeah. Click in there. Oh, okay. Okay. Yep. And then you can look at page. Sorry about that. No, You’re all good, man. So,
00:08:18 so this says that another, another business manager had, so this is the question I want to ask because I wasn’t sure if it ranked this problem does that another business manager has claimed this page. So there’s no problem. We’ll just have to go do it a different way. So if he had closed right there and when we sorta go to add page again,
00:08:40 we’ll switch it to request a request to access to a page. Yep. And then add page. Oh, we still have to, we have to add a primary page for this business manager. Let me check one more thing. If you cancel out of this and you see where it says max muscle stone mountain, and the, you can just X all the way out of this one,
00:09:01 if, whereas there’s a dropdown on the top left forces. Max muscle. Yeah. Yeah. Let’s see if there’s a different business managers. So we have this, maybe one of these other business managers, it looks like that one that’s purple one has a lot of assets. Let’s check that one out. So this might be the business manager where everything exists.
00:09:22 So if we go, let’s look at the pages here. Yup. Yup, yup. And cool. So we got the page here. It looks like we, this is the one we want to be working in just cause I can see now everything from Shopify is connected here. Okay. So that’s great. So let’s go to ad accounts, a one level underneath the pages.
00:09:42 Yep. So accounts then pages then ad accounts right there. Cool. Hit, see details. Seems like this one might have got the account disabled. Let’s see. What’s going on here. Okay. Okay. So, so this one looks like we’re kind of stuck. So we’re going to have to just go back and, and, and figure out a way around this.
00:10:15 So it seems to me is that this business manager had a problem with verifying identity. For some reason happens a lot. But basically what we have to do is kind of like release the Facebook page from this business manager. So we can add it to that other business manager because this business manager doesn’t like will be able to use it anymore. So let’s go back to the bottom left corner of the far bottom left corner of the screen.
00:10:36 There’s a picture of a year. It’s like a button with a gear on it yet. I click that and let’s go to on the, underneath the house on the top left, there’s like a three lines. We’ll click there and we’ll go to what’s called business settings at first year there. And let’s go to the max muscles for sedition mountain yet that one.
00:11:08 And let’s go to pages again. Yup. And let’s see this, if we can get this page shared over to another business manager, I would say the best way to do it is to miss will be the easiest way let’s go. Okay. Probably here’s the is wait, let’s under max muscle sports nutrition that dropped down on the left top left. Let’s let the other business manager,
00:11:44 which I believe was the blue one with the blue N this one. Yep. Let’s click that. And then let’s scroll down all the way down to where it says business info and let’s click there. And I want you to copy that business manager, ID that number in the middle of the screen, or it says business manager ID 1 0 6. Yeah. If you just click copy just those numbers.
00:12:11 Yep. Copy. And then let’s go back to the purple business manager from that dropdown. And let’s try it this way. Let’s go to the section where it says partners and we’re going to click inside partners. Yup. And we’re going to click out button. You’re closest to right there, a partner to share assets with you. And we’re going to paste in that business manager ID and then hit next.
00:12:41 And then here, can you go over where it says pages? I just want to see why it’s not letting us share it over. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Okay. That’s that is why. Okay. So that’s why does that business manager is the primary page for a business manager that’s been restricted from advertising. Yeah. See, this is why it’s so hard to sell it because Facebook has all these different ways they can,
00:13:08 can block you from doing things. So let me check something real quick. ’cause on the Shopify. It at it asked that I request access from the business manager. And when I do that, you know, I am the business manager, so I don’t get any notification. Exactly. Yeah. Yeah. So I get it. So let’s go to the Facebook page itself and see what we can do potentially as a work around,
00:13:43 we can do it in here and let’s go to the, if you go to the top, right. There’s like three dots there. The top, right? Yep. On the, on the Facebook profile where like your notifications are on the right side of the screen here. Yeah. There’s those, there’s a button with three dots. A little bit higher.
00:14:05 There’s that button with three dots. Oh, yep. Right there. Yep. Okay. That’s okay. It’s not there. Can you a little bit above that. We’re next to where your notifications are. And it says the number three, there’s like a drop down there. Let me see what page this is. Okay. I just wonder if this is correct.
00:14:28 Let’s go. Okay. So over here on the left, I’m just looking for like the page settings. So on the left-hand managed page bar, we can go keep going down that settings section here. Yep. Just scroll all the way down and click settings. Yeah. And we’re going to go to page, page, page roles, which is a section on the left,
00:14:52 on the left menu. Yeah. Cool. So scroll down to where it says page owner. Okay. So we’ve got that. We’ve got that. And then up at the top, it says where the page is owned by that business manager. Let me see if I can, Let’s see. Try to vary. It just gets a lot more complicated when the business manager has been restricted to,
00:15:56 to, to remove things. Yeah. And I try, even when I try to do a dispute request because this is, this is me. That’s fine. I don’t know why I go there and try to, I can’t even put in any response because I can’t click in this section right here. Okay. Yeah. Totally makes sense. Yeah. They’re,
00:16:20 they’re going through a lot right now on Facebook where support’s been very bad and there’s a lot, I like bugs in the UI that are causing are causing problems. And it’s very hard. Like there’s an account where I can’t even submit a review for which is super annoying because it’s a very basic thing that the UI normally does CT to R could I start new completely fresh?
00:16:57 I mean, So I’m trying to find a way where you don’t have to do that, but you definitely could, could do that. You just have to, honestly, sometimes people will have a separate page. That’s just for advertising that way. If this, that kind of happens. If they have a normal Facebook page too, that’s kind of more for organic content,
00:17:19 stuff like that. So you could have a different Facebook page and then just run everything from that other separate business manager. And just this page might be unfortunately locked to this business manager since it was the primary page. And now that business manager is restricted from advertising. So you could continue to go through support and see if you can get that, that the business manager reinstated,
00:17:43 that would be something I would try to do considering it seems like the page might’ve been restricted simply because it wasn’t able to verify identity. So was almost like a security thing. It’s not necessarily like a compliance issue. It seems like it could be a security issue. And they, they disabled the business manager just to make sure that there was no like the business manager couldn’t get hacked.
00:18:03 And so we couldn’t gum it, come in and spend a bunch of money. So going through support and seeing that my business manager is, is restricted and trying to see if he can get that lifted would then unlock everything. And you would actually be able to use this business manager, which seems like it’s already connected to Shopify as the page you want to use.
00:18:20 And that might be the best way. And Facebook will tell you straight out if, Hey, listen, there’s nothing we can do. We can’t, we can’t re re enable the business manager. And if they say no, then at that point, it might be worth just like starting from scratch. But if you go in and submit a support request,
00:18:37 specifically talking about getting your business manager restricted, don’t even worry about the page. Just talk to them about getting your business manager looked at and restricted and say that, you know, it said that it was failure to verify identity, but I can verify it. Usually what they just make you do is submit a picture of your driver’s license to them. They just verify that you’re you.
00:18:57 And then they let the restriction, How do I do that? I mean, w w w Let me grab it for you. Let’s we can go through it together. All right. So I’m going to submit a link in the chat and click that, and we can, I’ll walk you through it. What did you do now? I sent it in the zoom chat.
00:19:31 So if you go back to zoom, there’s like a chat window. And I, I sent a link in there should be like the zoom application on your, on your computer. Do I have to get out of This? Nope. You shouldn’t have to, you can click open zoom meetings right there and it’s your Child. Yep. Yep. And go to this,
00:19:56 to this link. Yup. And if you want to grab that link and you can even just paste it into this screen, I’m still looking at the, your browser, but we can go through the appeal process and get it can appeal in for you. And that way, hopefully it’ll heal back here, back in 24 hours. And if they, they,
00:20:32 they can tell you hopefully what to do next. So client climb off, what am I doing? Yeah. So if you go back to Google Chrome and just paste the link into there and, and yeah. Into the browser, and we can go through that, we’re able to get the facebook.com/business/help/support link from the chat. Yeah. I, I, I copied it.
00:20:58 Okay. So let’s paste it. Oh yeah. So we just paste it in over this address here on this zoom window. So if you want to like open up a new tab on your browser, you can just paste it in there. Yep. And then just paste and go, and then we should be good. Okay. So go to the very,
00:21:23 very top of this page and click where it says support and cool. And then right in the middle, it says my Facebook account page or business manager account has advertising restrictions. So we’ll click in there. It should be that one right there yet. My Facebook account page or business manager account has advertising restrictions. Yeah. We’ll click in there and then we can scroll down a little bit more.
00:21:56 Okay. Let’s click that account quality button link right there. Cool. And click show later. And then let’s go to account status overview on the left and see that one where it says account restricted. Let’s click into that one. Can you highlight that request over that raw request review section on the right that blue button is kind of like great out. She’d be on the other side of the screen.
00:22:46 Yeah, right there. What’s it say, confirm your identity before, because you’re doing it. Okay. Okay. Let me see what I can do here. Let me try something else. Let me see here. Yeah. I’m on a call. I’ll be on the call. How can I help you? Let me throw some muscles, man. You want to go out and come back.
00:23:48 You got to go work there. Good to see you, man. It’s been awhile. Let me see here. For some reason, the, the support link isn’t showing up for you. So I’m trying to see if I can figure out a direct way for getting in contact with them because you need to be basically be able to get them on Facebook chat support,
00:24:29 which is usually the easiest way. Let me see if this works here, A black me from all from, And then it’s, I’ve, I’ve seen it, you know, hundreds of different, different ways of like, you know, me and you go to the same link and we see completely, completely different things. Let’s see. So weird. It’s not just showing up the way you can leave.
00:25:17 Let’s see. Yeah. Chris has said another link. Try see if that one, if that one helps me maybe do one now in the chat, Krista sent another Facebook support email. So I was like, she’s been having some troubles too, but it’s just, it’s just really weird because sometimes we, I’m sorry, there’s another link in the, in the chakras.
00:25:40 It’s an over try, copy and pasting that into your browser. And we can see it. That allows us to, to request some Simone C. Yeah. So click that a count. Yep. Click into there that dropped down and page and let’s pick the Facebook page, which played with that one. Yep. And then topic. Let’s see if they have like advertising here,
00:26:27 account help account set up. I’d say yeah. Account set up and tell us more there. And it’s not one of those ones. Yeah. This one’s tough. It’s not really what we’re looking for. Either Options show, if we click reporting and technical issue potentially. Yeah. But usually that’s more like, oh, there’s a glitch or something like that.<inaudible> let me see here.
00:27:25 Let’s see. Let’s see. Yeah. It just all comes back to this same place. See, let me see here. Sounds great. Talk then. So yeah, basically we are stuck because this is the mains of Portland I’ve always had that allows me to be able to submit reviews for things. So we need to find a way to get in touch with Facebook.
00:29:11 Let me see if this works. Yeah. Let me, let me get him up on, on slack and see what he says. Oh, let’s see what happens here. Let’s see. Yeah. Let’s see. To have online popping up. Yeah. Okay. Well let me try one last thing. This one just brings up this like Sure. That’s right,
00:30:45 correct. Right. That means a 3% sale. 25% off. Yes, sir. I’m not ignoring you on kind of on a call. So Cool, man. So, so yeah, basically we just had to figure out a way to get in touch with Facebook support. So support Facebook, They don’t make it easy. Huh? They definitely don’t man.
00:31:38 It’s a, Yeah. Okay. So that’s what I would say is probably your best option is what Chris it says here is if you choose whatever option, the link shed, at least we’ll get you in the conversation with the support rep and you can kind of talk about what’s going on. And I would just say like, you know, can you point me in the right direction?
00:32:07 I had my business manager restricted and I need to get it unrestricted. And at least they can get you talking with somebody where you can like progress forward, which might be the easiest way to get, get some progress made. Because right now it’s like, we can’t even figure out a way for you to contact them. And if that’s the best way to at least get in touch with someone,
00:32:26 it’s probably probably your best bet. So go to account set up again. Yup. And then under tell us more like select whatever it really doesn’t matter. Let’s see if we can get you on a chat support with somebody. Yeah. Let’s do that one or whichever one. It is cool. That’s email address for communication. Keeps her on down. Let’s just make sure it will have a chat window.
00:32:57 Cool. And then preferred message chat or email. So type in your email address. So you can type in a quick little synopsis of what’s going on. Just be like, be like my, my pages, my Facebook, my Facebook pages is locked to a disabled business manager. Or you could just say trouble getting business manager, business manager, restricted need technical support,
00:33:35 Restricted. Yup. Need, need technical support. And then one other thing I would always say is on the tab. That’s right next to the tab you’re currently on, on your browser, on the tab you’re on, on your browser. There’s one directly to the left at the very top of your browser. So we’re on the tab. That’s all the way to the right.
00:34:10 There’s. We can go back to that one that says account quality. So all the way at the top of your browser, where normally you can switch between Facebook or YouTube or whatever all the way at the very top. Yeah. All right. Thank you. Yep. All the way to the top where the, all the different tabs are and go all the way to the last one on the other side,
00:34:34 the last one on the other side. Yep. And then, okay, cool. And then there’s one that has an, a next to it. It’s right next to the one that you’re currently on. It’s a one level higher than where you’re at. Yeah. So w yeah, right there. Yeah. Click there. And you’re just gonna want to copy this business ID cause they’re going to ask for it.
00:34:56 So just have it handy. So you can be like, this is the business manager ID that’s restricted so that they know kind of how to help you out. So Right now the one that directly to the right, the next tab over You have the very, and then you were at the VA, the one next to it on the right. Yep.
00:35:16 Yep. So there we go. Cool. And then you can paste that in and then see if you can get in chats with support with someone and, and you know, at least that will help, you know, get you pointed in the right direction of where you can get some, some support there. You think business manager restricted need technical support,
00:35:32 which is enough. That’s good for now. They should be at least to be able to hopefully get in the right and like talking to the right group of people. Okay, Cool. And then click open messenger. And you’re actually going to be in a Facebook chat now with, you could continue and you will actually be in a Facebook chat, like with,
00:36:01 with Facebook now, and they should be able to help you out from there. So they’re just give you that. Yeah. You can like done and then like, he’d been, I like it says, Nathan has joined, so they’ll, he’ll start messaging right there and you can start talking to him and explain the problem. And I would say just like go through that,
00:36:18 that this process start talking to him and at least, you know, progress the conversation a little bit further and hopefully we’ll be able to help you out. Okay. Well thank you. No problem, man. I’m happy. We a little, make a little bit of progress on this. Well, man, well, best of luck. And you know,
00:36:35 if next week we’re still stuck. We can try, try again. Thank you very much from cool. Cool. So Krista or Nick, Ryan. Kim. Does anybody, does anybody have anything? They wanted the gym on a little bit of help with, well, Tom. Yeah. Can, what’s easy for you to just want to type it out.
00:36:56 Do you want to join the call? Whatever, whatever works best for you. Cool. Keeps us full of schools. We have two pieces. We’ve got accounts, open them both long before I started running ads. You heard you shouldn’t do that. I just got notification. That one has been restricted from advertising. Haven’t been using it. You should go in and,
00:37:28 and definitely try to keep it open just because it’s attached to your name. So I definitely go in and try to get a review in sometimes, like I said, it’s just because you might need to submit a picture of your license just so they can verify it to you. It could just be a security checkpoint. They don’t want to have open. Like if you have an open business manager that you’re not using,
00:37:44 it’s good to have in case you ever do want to use it. However, they also sometimes will put in those security restrictions to protect it so that you know, someone doesn’t hack your Facebook, be able to go in and start running ads and spending money and spending money on your credit card. I’ve seen it happen to a colleague before where his Facebook account got hacked and someone ran ads under his business manager for products in China and ran thousands of dollars a day before they caught it.
00:38:10 So it could just be something like that. So it’s definitely worth probably going in and, and restricting it and just being like, why are we being restricted? Like, is it just because it’s dormant? Sometimes it gets because of the storm. It, sometimes it could just be because like identity verification, but just definitely have a chase it up the five-pole and see what happens.
00:38:32 It’s really. So the account is verified to like your Facebook account. Like your personal ID is like your personal Facebook account. You can have multiple, like I’m on 30 business managers, 30 accounts at least. But I still have to use my same license to just verify my personal account. Okay. It D it shouldn’t matter. It’s just whichever one you’re running ads from.
00:38:56 It’s not, it’s not too out of the crazy. Got you. Okay. Yeah. It should be fine to have the same license for both. You could always explain that, like this one’s my business one. It’s really just making sure that it’s, that it’s you. And that the information on the business manager matches the person who’s logged in and whoever’s logged in running ads should not have a picture of your license if they’re not you.
00:39:18 So they’re just kind of making sure that the person who’s logged in to run ads. Is this, this person. Okay. Kim, let me add you in. Yeah. So Chris, they should be fine to request the review and get it back up, Andrew. Hey Kim, are you, oh, I dunno why it’s not able to detect my camera issue with my laptop sometime.
00:39:48 Oh man. Am I going to be able to share my screen with you though? Okay. All right. Cause that’s what I was aiming to do. So I have an ad that I’m looking to launch today. I’m a little late to the party. I have some going already, but I wanted you to take a look at this one. Can you see this at all?
00:40:07 Yep. Okay, perfect. So this campaign has four ad sets. One is a carousel or two are carousels and two are videos on the carousel. It looks like everything is fine for each of those. I have all the different photos set up, et cetera, the different creative types for the various different platforms. So the stories in reels on the videos,
00:40:33 it’s telling me that I don’t have a call to action. The feeds. Now I see it here. It’s showing up. And then when I switched over to this one, I keep getting these weird messages saying that there’s no call to that. So it’s not doing it now, but it keeps doing it. And I was wondering if it’s going to do that.
00:40:50 When I make the ad go live, doesn’t seem to be doing that right now. But It should. Sometimes those things are just, they like, it’s like kind of a buggy system. Sometimes it just pop up when you publish it. It publishes. Absolutely. Yeah. And I did, I actually sent like a preview to myself and it looked like it was okay.
00:41:12 Yeah. So then the other question I had was so this Instagram shot and what, what do we use here? It says creative customizations by placement are not compatible. So we just leave it blank. Yeah, Yeah, yeah. I wouldn’t worry about it. It’s it’s basically like if it, if, if this format of ad could be an Instagram shops,
00:41:35 then it would show you a preview. But since probably just cause this is a video ad, I don’t think it qualifies for that placement. So you’re just not able to see a preview there, but it just means they won’t, they probably just won’t be able to run this ad at that placement. But Yeah, that’s fine. Yeah. I don’t even care about that one.
00:41:52 And then a couple of other questions. I know that this ad is a little janky because I’m like, you know, I had a staff member that got COVID and so I’m a little bit behind with stuff and I’m just like all over the place. So I’m trying out, I’m like testing audiences now, which is not ideal, but I’m like, whatever,
00:42:07 you know, it can only be so much so, somewhat so bad. So on this particular ad. So I think with the videos, I chose a kind of broad audience. It’s a broad audience. It’s about 50 million, 59 million. It’s a mix of keywords and other things that are relevant to my target market. And then for the other two here,
00:42:32 it’s a smaller, it’s a smaller target audience. So should I break these out the ones that are going to the bigger audience and make them their own campaign? Cause it’s telling me, well, the budget’s probably going to lean towards the bigger audiences. So I think it may make sense to make a separate campaign for those two. Right? Yeah. So what might be the best way to do it is if we’re really testing the audiences,
00:42:57 what I might do is if you go to the campaign level Right here. Yup. And we scroll down a little bit. So right there, this is where it has campaign budget optimization. What I might do is turn that off. Oh, I see. And would you end that off? It allows you to assign a budget per ad set. And maybe if it’s like,
00:43:20 maybe you want to say $25 per day of each one of these and then whichever ones are performing well, you can pause the ones that are not performing well and move that budget to the ones that are performing well. But that way you’re actually truly testing it. And you’re saying like this audience versus this audience versus this audience versus this audience, which one of these gives me the best results and you’re able to truly test it with the same amount of money and the same amount of spend to keep those variables the same.
00:43:49 That way you’ll truly know that the results while have you used Campo campaign budget optimization is really if like you don’t really care if the audience has work or not, or you’re really not trying to discover if the audiences work or not. You’re just kind of saying, you know, here’s my budget, here’s my different ad sets, do your thing. But just so you know,
00:44:08 you’re, you’re a hundred percent, right. It probably will push most of the budget towards those bigger audiences. And I’ve even seen a campaign budget optimization put like 90% of the spend to just one ad set and well, that’s great, but I’ve also seen some times where, you know, actually splitting them out and giving them all a chance and then making a decision can be the better way.
00:44:30 And should I, if I’m, so if I’m going to test for audience, which is not the ideal time to be doing this, I’m really just kind of just throwing stuff at the wall as you can see, cause it’s like the 11th hour, but if I’m truly going to test the audience, so then I should make the creative and the copy,
00:44:44 the copy is all the same, but the creative is a little different. Like I’ve got videos and carousels, like if I’m truly going to test the audience, it all needs to be the same copy and creative and then just the different audiences. Right? Yeah. So really when I think about like campaign ad set ad, like those three levels, I really like to structure my campaign being based around like maybe just the,
00:45:10 like this black Friday sale is the campaign. And then the ad sets is where I am breaking out based on audience sizes and potentially potentially creative as well. It’s really like one or the other, but if all of our audiences are going to be similar. So like what I could do, what you could do is have your carousel ad and your video ad both running in to this audience.
00:45:37 Right. And we’re testing all these audiences and we have all the ads in there so that they all be ads, have a chance to see how they do to those audiences. So it really just depends on how granular you want to test. I’ve seen, you know, testing single audiences and single ads and, and that’s, that’s something that can work.
00:45:59 And it’s something that it’s more like, why are you doing it? Are you doing that? Because you really want to see how this audience performs to this one specific type of creative. But if you really don’t care, if the video works or the carousel works, Then you can put all those ads in the same exact ad set and then use that ad set for just testing audiences.
00:46:19 Right. And then it’s just like, what do you, what, what information are you trying to gather most? And if it’s, if it’s audience testing, then I would say put all the ads and have all the ad sets identical other than the, the, the audience, the targeting. And so, because I’m just sort of like, I just want to get some sales if I can,
00:46:40 because I’m doing this at the 11th hour, should I increase the budget? Or because I’m still testing this and I don’t know if it’s going to work or not, because I put the, the auctions going on. I know people are like, it’s really competitive right now. Does it make sense? I’ve got like four different ad sets in one ad.
00:46:56 I’m okay with going up. I just want to know if it makes sense, because I don’t know if these audiences are, are tried and true or not. Well, I would probably say the best thing to do is, is to, is to probably use ad set optimization, right? Ad set budget. That way you can quickly determine. And like,
00:47:15 let’s say even a few hours from now, or let’s say you check on it later tonight. If you see one that’s performing really well and the rest are not that it may be worth just increasing that ad sets budget to $100 and pausing like one other that way it’s the budget is actually daily budget. Isn’t moving. You’re just using that data of which audience is performing better and which creative is performing better to be able to spend that money more effectively the rest of the sale.
00:47:40 Got it. Okay. That makes total sense. Yeah. I think I’m going to break them out and put the ones with the larger audience in their own and then break them out individually. Cause there are two different ones there, but okay. Yeah, that sounds like a great idea. And then I would say there is a way just so you know,
00:47:58 a quick tool, it might be actually easier if I share my screen, but I’ll show you something that may make your life a lot, a lot easier. And everyone on this call might be a lot easier. So let me share my screen and let’s do cool. Cool. So can we see my screen now? I can see it. Okay,
00:48:22 cool. So, so these are ads that have already published. So let’s say you publish your, let’s say you publish that campaign you’re building and you have those four different ads and each one of those four ads has a specifically an ad ID associated with it. So this is a more advanced at advanced I’d say like just track that, that people have been running media ads for a long time.
00:48:49 So here you can see, I have a carousel ad, here’s the carousel ad. And then I have a video ad and here’s my video ad. And then I have a static image ad. So let’s say I publish and I want to put all three of these ads in a different ad set so that, you know, I can have more creative and that’s it.
00:49:07 But I don’t have to build that ad out again from scratch. And I just wanna be able to it real quick. So I’m going to select this carousel ad. And if I click edit this section in the top, right, comes up and you can say more options. This is like a kind of a secret trick. You go to more options and manage Facebook comments when you click that.
00:49:30 Basically it brings up a live version of the ad, like as it exists in the world. So you can see, even if there’s comments on it, if there’s likes and comments that like you get to see how the ad is you could do is when you see this like long Facebook URL here, this last string of numbers is the ad ID. So what I usually do is let me do let’s,
00:50:00 I’m just going to bring up a Google doc real quick so we can see it. So we make a new Google doc and I can say black Friday ads at IDs. Cool. And then what I can do is I can go and I can grab this and I could say a carousel ad and I can paste that ID and I can do video. I’ll do static just so I have those three ads.
00:50:29 So I can go through this process again and I can click the video ad, click the top, right? More options, manage Facebook comments, grab this last set of numbers. You can just double click inside it and just highlights the entire thing. Copy that I’ll paste that inside of my video ad. And then I can grab this last one, same exact thing,
00:50:51 double click to get the last string of numbers, copy and paste it into here. So now that I did that legwork, let’s say I create a brand new campaign. Let’s just say, hypothetically, I’m creating a new campaign and it’s conversion campaign, and I’m not going to worry about what I name it or anything like that. I’m just going to keep going next to where I get to the ads.
00:51:14 So if I’m creating a new campaign and I want to reuse these same ads, basically all you have to do is make sure you have the right page selected. So I’m going to select the right page. And instead of create ad, you can say, use existing posts. And so I’m going to grab that first one, which is the carousel ad and copy it.
00:51:33 And I can go into here and I can say, enter post ID. And basically it just like copies and paste that into this. And not that not only that, but I can just quickly then like duplicate, but duplicate, which will just create another ad. And then I can enter in this post ID, which is now the video. And then I can do that third time.
00:51:54 And now I can put all three of these ads in whenever I want. If I start a new campaign, if I want to add them into a different ad set, you could quickly add all those ads to each one of those ad sets and be able to just like, not have to rebuild them all from scratch. And then the great thing is because you used the post ID,
00:52:14 all that engagement, those likes comments and shares. If you use it in the future, it will all stay versus if you created that ad again, then it would be a brand new version of it. And it would be like, have no likes and shares and comments. So you can kind of like build up and then you, so, so that’s a quick trick that you can use to just,
00:52:33 you know, move ads around as, as you want and be able to, if you have an ad that’s working really well. I always save that post ID cause that post ID is like a pot of gold. Let’s say I want to test a new audience. I can just throw that post ID ID into it and see how it performs because I know that it works.
00:52:48 It’s works well. Oh yeah. I wish you were here earlier this morning when I was called good news is you have like, you have all the ads, right? So when you publish them, you can get those post IDs and then you go in and just add them to the other ad sets. Now that they’re published and you can just push them in there and all,
00:53:10 all you, all I would do is like go to this, to this campaign that you’ve just published. Like, let’s say this is the campaign you just published into it. I would like, you know, this audience or this ad set. And then you can just duplicate the ad that’s already in there and change the name of it. And then,
00:53:30 and to like carousel or whatever it is. And then just, and then throw the ad in there. And now all of a sudden you’ll have that, that second ad in there. And then you can read that process so you can make all those ad sets, have the same exact ads in there. And it’s Three numbers it, right? It gives it,
00:53:46 its new, a new number. Once you put it into a new ad, every then you’ll have a new post ID, right? Exactly. Every single time you publish an addict, it creates a post ID, but you can reuse both sides. So I have a pretty for my agency for every single client. Basically we just have sheets of post IDs of ads.
00:54:08 If they worked well, they’re green. If they didn’t work well, they’re red. We keep a link so that we can see the ad in real time, whenever we want what we name the ad so that we can keep the same name across however many times we use it and then the post ID. So if I’m doing a new test, I can just go grab five ads that should work.
00:54:26 And, and then we have it for, you know, all the different clients we work on. So that’s a great little strategy to be able to, as you build ads, you can discover winners and you test them. Then you can reuse them as much as you want without having to build new ads every, every time. Oh, I love it.
00:54:42 I love it. That’s where I’m on these calls. Andrew. I can find some value. Absolutely. Yeah. Thanks so much for that. I appreciate it. Awesome. Yeah. Well, good luck with good luck with the black Friday sale. Super excited to see how it works. I would say definitely, probably use those ad set budgets just so that those,
00:55:02 those bigger audiences get tested. He believes sometimes the smaller audiences could work better. Sometimes the bigger audiences could work better. So this way, at least, you know, you’re going to be able to test them both and yeah, don’t be afraid to make quick decisions to, if you see you’re getting a couple sales from a small audience, then, you know,
00:55:18 put some more, put a little bit more budget to it and keep, keep broadening it up. Yeah. What’s the recommended increases at 10%. Yeah. 10% a day. Okay. Yeah. 20%. If you do like every other day you could do 20%, but yet. Okay, perfect. The other thing you could do is the other thing you could do if you didn’t want to just like bump at 10% is let’s say you,
00:55:41 you run this for a few hours and you realize that, wow, this one ad set and this one audience with this one, creative is working better than everything else I’ve tested. You could just run a new campaign with just that one audience. And just that, that one ad give it a bigger budget and publish it live now versus, you know,
00:56:01 slowly bumping the budget That way, you know, it’s all proven. And that way it’s not going to mess up. It’s just going to restart the machine, learning with the best performing assets. And sometimes that’s a better way for trying to capitalize on something quicker. If you know, bombing the budget 10% a day. If you start at $25 a day.
00:56:20 So now you’re at like $27 a day. But if you like a hundred, then you could just duplicate the campaign. Only have the assets of audiences and ads that you want to run and then have that campaign, have a, have that a hundred dollars budget and test it that way. Sounds good. Thank you so much, Andrew. No problem.
00:56:39 Well, I hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving and has it fun black Friday. And I’m looking forward to seeing you guys next week and hopefully be able to help you out some more. So yeah. And Krista, to your last point. Yes. I don’t think you’ll have any, any problems if it just figure out why it’s restricted, if it is just because it’s dormant,
00:56:59 then, then that’s not too big of a deal. And if it is just because of security issues, then I don’t think you’ll get slapped for, for having it. That’s sometimes weird activity sometimes could be if someone logs into the account for the first time from a new IP address or someone logs into the account on a computer they’ve never logged into before.
00:57:23 It’s, that’s happened to me several times too. So just think about if any of that might’ve ever happened. For example, I had, I have a team of people work in the Philippines have helped me with ads. And if I add a bunch of IP addresses to my business manager from the Philippines or from a different country or from, you know,
00:57:44 even if it’s someone I’ve never worked with before or something like that, if something new happens, they’re just very protective over it because you know, they don’t want to have people’s identity stolen, things like that. So it could just be, you know, if it’s suspicious activity, it could just be someone logging in, in the middle of the night,
00:58:00 someone, you know, a true, true, Hmm. Trying to think of what it possibly could be. Then it could be, it could just be a false flag, honestly, to be true, to like full, full transparency. I get things that the amount of ad accounts I’m on the amount of pages I’m on. Like I get stuff flagged every day.
00:58:22 Most, sometimes it’s just flat out glitches and I just have to go through support to get it sorted. Because if you don’t go through support, they’re never going to like go out of their way to try and fix it. They just, they’re just constantly putting out the fires. So you actually have to let them know there’s a fire for them to put it out.
00:58:37 And a lot of times it can just be a false flag. So I’m not saying it is a false flag. I’m not saying it couldn’t be something, but definitely just, I would say go through ’em. Yeah. That’s that’s, that’s, that’s kind of a weird one that seems like it could be a false flag. They are updating their policies recently over the last few weeks,
00:58:58 which whenever they update policies, what that means is that like, let’s say they used to say, you can’t say this and now they say, okay, you can say this. Now we change it. So you can see it now. Well that means they have to go in and rewrite all the code of the algorithm that is doing the AI checking.
00:59:15 And it’s normally checking for this and now they’re telling it, you don’t have to check for this anymore. So no matter what, when they do an algorithm change and a policy change, the AI still has. It’s not perfect. So it still misinterprets things. So sometimes it can just be like, whenever they do a big update like that, it just causes tons of false flags.
00:59:34 And my Facebook rep straight it’s legitimately told us that like, Hey, it’s there could be a potential for more false flags and things you’ve never seen before because we’re doing these big policy updates. So we did have our business manager get shut down in the last few weeks we got it back right away. We had a bunch of ad accounts get shut down.
00:59:51 We were able to get them back right away because when you just let them know that you think it’s a false flag, they can usually check it. And if it is, they’ll just say, oh yeah, the algorithm made a mistake. Cool. Awesome. Well, hope you guys have a great weekend and look forward to talk to you guys next week.
