Homepage: Wheelio should be customized to match your brand. Chat auto popup should be tested. Tanner talks about the homepage banner and how the unique value proposition can be executed better.
Collection Page: Header banners are taking up way too much real estate above the fold.
Product Page: Product variants are misleading and need to be clarified. Colors need to be reduced (80/20 rule). Add to Cart needs to be emphasized. Payment icons are not value icons, these should be replaced with unique value propositions.
Cart: Tanner goes through the BGS standard cart optimizations that are in the Revenue Optimization book.
Checkout: Checkout logo can utilize more space. Breadcrumb pages that have the customer have not reached yet, should be a lighter color.
Critique 2
0:46:15 – Critique number 2 is for Chris Cade, https://www.themiracles.store/. Inspiring Apparel.
Homepage: Tanner talks about changing the headline of featured products to a more personal headline. The team discusses working on the homepage banner so it fits the brand more. Product Page: Product description needs fine-tuning, the shipping description is great!
Checkout: The team discusses what could be causing a low checkout %.
Critique 3
1:12:10 – Critique number 3 is for Cynthia Katsingris, https://thisdiabetic-com.myshopify.com/. Diabetic Accessories.
Homepage: Tanner recommends replacing the homepage banner with an animated gif that clearly displays what the product achieves. Cynthia needs to work on her unique value propositions. Avoid using cursive text, it is hard to read and causes friction.
Product Page: Product images are zoomed much too far away. Tanner talks about utilizing a diagram within product images, also an educational video in the description. Suppress reviews on products that have 0 reviews.
Checkout: Access 4 easy Checkout Optimizations in the member’s area.
Critique 4
1:32:50 – Critique number 4 is for Charles Smith, https://blackfathersexist.com/. Apparel for Fathers
Homepage: The headline cursive font is a little hard to read. Use the FourSixty Shopify app so the Instagram posts are shoppable. Add 4 best selling designs under the collections. Increase the size of the unique value proposition icons. Use your story on the homepage.
Collection Page: Include filters so users do not have to scroll all the way down.
Product Page: All the designs need hero images. Ensure only your main CTA is blue, you want the hierarchy of focus to be on the ATC. With intensive product designs, add a close-up of the design. Add a size chart link.
Cart: Remove payment icons.
Checkout: Tanner recommends how to display the logo within Checkout. Only use the main payment icons.
Critique 5
1:59:55 – Critique number 5 is for Nikki Vasquez, https://shopvieverte.com/. Vegan Bags.
Homepage: Tanner discusses sliding banners and Nikki’s unique value propositions. Recommends more of a static collage. Need padding above the main headline. Increase the font size of “Thoughtful Design” body text. Add featured products within the footer.
Product Page: Remove the Paypal button, and change the color of the Add To Cart button to be the most prominent, stand-out color on the page. Product images need some work, there are some bugs when clicking on the image. Tanner mentions some complementary products that could help improve the AOV. Remove social media sharing options.
Cart: There should be any navigation or header on the cart page. Primary CTA’s do not match throughout the funnel.

2:26:00 – Critique number 6 is for Dan Carlin, https://invigoratedwater.com/. Water Filtration Products.
Tanner and Dan discuss the current highs and lows with their business. Wheelio and GA discussion.

Product Page: The ATC button size needs to be increased. Value prop icons need to be under the ATC. Aleks talks bout using post-purchase surveys to figure out what matters to your customers.
