    Critiques:

    Critique 1

0:06:00 – Critique number 1 is for Deborah Linquist, https://shopdeborahlindquist.com/. Eco Lifestyle Fashion.

Homepage: Check site across different devices to ensure everything is responsive across desktop and mobile. No value proposition on the banner. Matt talks about the importance of a value proposition and using a call to action that is more prototypical. Matt talks about changing your mindset of how you view your store. Making the shift from seeing your site as the owner who is selling the products, to looking at your site through your customer’s eyes. Add the word “Cart” under the Cart icon for more clarity. Change collection names to something all your users will understand.

Product Page: The UVP icons under the ATC do not match the feel of the rest of the site. It is important to use terminology that the vast majority of users understand, otherwise your customers won’t understand. Go through Alek’s UVP training in the members portal.

    Critique 2

0:39:05 – Critique number 2 is for Harel Levy, https://catcreators.com/. Cat POD.

Homepage: There is no scale to the products within the banner, this is extremely important for customers as they may interpret sizes much differently. The homepage is a little busy with many products listed. The homepage is used for trust and navigation. Simplify the number of features displayed on the homepage.

Product Page: Ensure the background of your product images isn’t too busy. You want to keep the focus on the product, not on the surroundings. Matt and Tanner love the unboxing video! Customer reviews screenshot in descriptions do not work like they used to, it looks unprofessional. Just stick with your reviews app. FAQ’s tab should not be necessary on the product page. If you get heaps of the same questions you should be answering these questions in the correct place on your site.

Collection Page: Test displaying 1 product per row, instead of 2 products per row. The designs are hard to see on mobile if they are displaying 2 per row. Remove all of the irrelevant tags under the product types filter. Search feature broken on mobile.

    Critique 3

1:12:15 – Critique number 3 is for Chris Cade, https://www.themiracles.store/. Inspirational POD.

Chris explains to the team that he has begun advertising on his best seller and is refining a formula to effectively test other products.

Product Page: Matt and Tanner talk about looking into different device segments to locate any conversion dips. Mariana talk about showing the difference between sizes in real life scale. The team suggest some copy changes. Remove the “Click here” link and replace it with a secondary ATC button. Test long copy vs. short copy.
