Critiques:
Critique 1
0:01:35 – Critique number 1 is for Antje Pepper, https://www.keepgoingfirstaid.com/. First Aid Kits.
Homepage: Joe talks about users could be confused on where to click for “Our Story” as it is not obvious right away. The number one goal is for users to visit the product page, so try not to take too much attention away from that goal. Add price and review stars under the products listed, right now they just look like product images. Set up tracking for the video on the homepage. For the reviews, add names to each review and an image if possible. Change the background color of the email field to white. Incentivize users to sign up to the newsletter with a discount. Mobile menu is non prototypical and it is important that users have control.
Product Page: Optimize your product images before uploading using TinyPNG. Sort reviews my images first. The team talk about using comparison charts and utilizing the pain points their customers may have to spark emotional purchases. Keep fonts consistent throughout your copy. What is the impact of the instagram feed? If it is not converting highly, then I would remove it. Sort reviews my photos first. Run a post purchase poll to gain user insights.
Cart Page: Change “Checkout” text to “Proceed to Checkout”. Test adding icons that address users’ concerns (shipping times and costs etc). The less decisions a customer has to make, the better.
About Us: Use the lifestyle images on the product page.

0:50:00 – Critique number 2 is for Krystie Yeo, https://shop.adapted4specialed.com/. Special Education.
Product Page: Joe talks about showing a visual representation of how many books they are going to get early on in the customer’s journey. Joe and Rosemary go into detail about a better way to show off these products. The team breaks down the structure of the product page with Krystie.
